Ken Kelleher’s Spiral Vortex Defines the Landscape of The St. Regis Kanai

KANAI, MEXICO — Internationally recognized sculptor Ken Kelleher, also known as Anchorball, has announced the completion, installation or presentation of Spiral Vortex, a major project from his expanding international practice.
Installed at the St. Regis Kanai Resort in Cancún, Spiral Vortex is a 7.5-meter mirror-polished stainless steel sculpture from Kelleher's Elemental practice, transforming a sweeping gesture of movement into a monumental, highly reflective form.
The sculpture's mirrored skin changes continuously with its surroundings, capturing shifting clouds, tides of light and the colour of the coast, so the work is never experienced in precisely the same way twice. Its silhouette gives the resort a singular sculptural identity recognizable from a distance.
