Hand
Drawn

A single decisive mark — extruded into steel, given mass and permanence. Monumental sculpture in the vocabulary of the drawn line.

There is a particular kind of mark that only happens once. The hand moves and the line appears — complete, unrepeatable, carrying in its path everything the body knew in that instant. The Hand Drawn series asks what it would mean to hold that moment permanently: to cast the gesture in steel, to give it the weight of a monument and the scale of a building, without losing a single degree of the impulse that made it. These are not sculptures that represent drawing. They are drawings that became sculpture — objects that arrived through the same decisive movement as a mark on paper, then stayed.

The Concept

A Single Line,
Made Permanent

The Hand Drawn series begins with one of sculpture's most deceptively simple ideas: what happens when you take the gesture of a drawn line — fast, intuitive, decisive — and realise it at scale in three-dimensional space?

Not a representation of a line. Not a mark on a surface. A line itself, extruded into steel, given mass and weight and permanence. The forms that result read as simultaneously weightless and monumental — calligraphy frozen in stainless, a gesture made architectural.

At any scale, Hand Drawn works carry the energy of their origin: a single unbroken movement through space, translated from studio sketch to public sculpture without losing the immediacy of the first mark.

New Commission · Abu Dhabi · 2026

Coming
Late Summer 2026

A new Hand Drawn commission is arriving in Abu Dhabi in late summer 2026. The work brings the series into a new context — a city building its cultural identity at architectural scale, and a site that demands a gesture equal to its surroundings.

Details and full documentation to follow on completion. Contact the studio for commission enquiries in the Hand Drawn vocabulary.

Scribble

Private Estate, Doha · 2021

A 4 meter stainless steel sculpture in yellow finish for a private estate in Doha, Qatar.
