Maestro de Maestros — First International Edition

About El Coso
El Coso — Tienda de Arte Contemporáneo Social — evolved in 2023 from Galería Darte Social, one of Bogotá's most respected contemporary art galleries. It operates as both a gallery and a social enterprise: every work sold through the store contributes directly to Fundación Corazón Verde, a Colombian foundation dedicated to the families, widows, and orphans of the National Police.
The foundation runs programs across education, housing support, and economic reintegration for families affected by service-related loss — one of the few art-driven social enterprise models of its kind in Latin America. For Ken, participating in El Coso was an alignment of creative ambition and human values: work placed in a context where a sale translates into something genuinely meaningful for people who need it.
The Exhibition
In October 2025, El Coso presented the inaugural international edition of Maestro de Maestros — the flagship program of Galería Darte and Fundación Corazón Verde, historically reserved for the most significant figures in Colombian contemporary art. Kelleher became the first artist from outside Colombia to receive the distinction, entering a program whose past participants represent a canon of the country's modern and contemporary practice.
The opening in Bogotá placed Kelleher's monumental sculptural works — already installed across four continents — within the city's most ambitious contemporary art context. El Coso's model is built as much on civic purpose as curatorial ambition: every sale flows directly into social programs supporting the families of the Colombian National Police through Fundación Corazón Verde.
